Berrett-Koehler has been partnering with the iBookstore team at Apple since the iPad was announced in January 1984. My relationship with Apple goes back to 1980, when I started selling VisiCalc (the original Excel spreadsheet) on Apple II computers in the financial district of San Francisco to flabbergasted investment bankers and Lawrence Livermore scientists. They couldn't believe such a scrappy little plastic…

This Charlie Rose interview of Warren Buffettwas the best 51-minute investment of time I spent this week. I wish every Democrat, Independent, and Republican would watch this interview. I consider Warren Buffet to be one of our national treasurers.…

I'm enjoying two professional lives, one as a bestselling co-author of family comunication books (published by Hyperion Books and Broadway Books), and the other as the Vice President of Editorial and Digital for Berrett-Koehler Publishers,
My family communication books, most of whom were co-authored with my wife Kate, include What I Love About You (Broadway Books/Random House, 180,000 sold), The Book of Myself: A Do-It-Yourself Autobiography in 201 Questions (350,000 copies sold), The Book of Us: A Journal of Your Love Story (175,000 copies sold), both from Hyperion Books/Disney, Words to Live By, and new in 2009: Picture of Me. Here's our new life planning book coming our from Penguin Boooks in November 2012: My Life Map: A Journal to help you shape your future. Visit our Marshall Books website for more information.
At BK, I do cool digital things like develop BKcommunity.com, produce new digital products such as toolkits, self-assessments, webinar archives, and mobile apps, and use the power of the Internet to buzz BK books through Facebook, Twitter, LInkedIn, StumbleUpon, and Pinterest on other social media networks. I also worked on some pretty cool viral marketing BK Book Internet Movies using Flash technology.

Hi David; Thank you for the welcome, and I look forward to contributing to this community and creating long lasting and successful relationships.
Dear David, thank you for messaging me. Yes, I plan to be at the July 20 event. Julie O'Mara said she had registered me. I am still waiting for the confirmation email with the directions on how to get to the event and other details to reach me. My email address is Mushim1954@gmail.com Thank you, Patricia Mushim Ikeda
I added a photo, couldn't see where to add brief bio
Sounds good David. Thanks for all of your help.

Hi David,
Many thanks for your warm welcome. I look forward to learning more about BK.

Hi David! Yes, I do know Ron and see him every so often at the meetings.
I'm a big fan of BK, have several friends who are authors and may want to go down this path myself. My coach/mentor in all of this is Margi Adler and she encouraged me to sign up for the July 21/22 workshop. Perhaps I'll meet you there.
Thank you David.
hi David -- I'm definitely interested in the article format you mentioned on the community landing page. I wasn't sure how to comment on that thread, though, so just pinged you instead.
I'm about to launch on a trip of a lifetime to write a book & film a documentary on transformation via personal hardship. Here is the webpage: http://spokencoast.org
Currently, I can write on these kinds of topics: project planning & management, self-employment, losing a loved one to cancer, learning a new skill/sport/activity, outdoor education & recreation, wilderness first aid, injuries & recovery from them to do outdoor things, and many more.
Please let me know if you'd like me to write something specifically, or if anything on my webpage is interesting to you.
My previous blog on cancer is here: http://unravelcancer.blogspot.com
Many thanks,
Marissa
