Dianne - Welcome to BKcommunity.com!  Nice photo.  Please take a moment to add a short bio. For the bio, just find the field marked "Text" and rename this title Bio or About Me, and then add a paragraph. You can then move it up to the top by grabbing it with the mouse and moving it up or grabbing the sections on top and moving them down. Also, please join the Community Dialogue group if you haven't done so already. I look forward to seeing you this Friday. Let me know if you have any questions navigating the site or have suggestions for new functionality or interaction. Thanks, David

About Me

Dianne Platner is senior manager of design and production of Berrett-Koehler Publishers. Dianne joined BK in 2003 to oversee the production of books from manuscript to print. She recently finished her rotation as the BK staff representative on the Board where she served as Chair of the Governance Committee. Dianne is also the president of the Board of the nonprofit organization SCRAP, which is the Bay Area’s oldest creative reuse center, promoting the reuse of materials that are traditionally discarded as waste. In addition, Dianne is a renowned artist focusing on sculpture, graphics, and installation art that invites viewers to rethink the ordinary and mundane, from homelessness and unemployment to war and the economy.
