Creating a World That Works for All
I am a book lover who began investigating digital publishing for mobile devices while I was completing an M.A. in English from S.F.S.U. in 2010, around the time the first iPad came out.
I am now focusing almost entirely on the critical issues around book discovery as physical display space for books becomes increasingly scarce, with the loss of Borders and so many of our independent bookstores as well as reduced hours at many local libraries.
Digital discovery tools are, as yet, not even close to bridging the discovery gap. To have great books we need to keep building great audiences. This is the area in which I hope to contribute something of value.
This is my connection with Berrett-Koehler: as an ongoing source of meaningful, insightful conversation around this particular issue of book discovery and how to develop digital tools that truly address these needs. Much appreciated!
