Short Bio

Karen Phelan has over twenty years of experience in IT, operations, and organizational learning and development. She has held management roles in Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson and different consulting roles at Deloitte & Touche, Gemini Consulting and her own consulting firms. Although she is conversant in IT, NPD, and Supply Chain, Karen prefers to work in the people side of a company. Karen holds both a BS and MS from MIT and likes to write books in her spare time. Her current project with BK is a humorous look at management consultants and business fads called I'm Sorry I Broke Your Company.  Oh, and she's also got a skewed sense of humor.

Karen - Welcome to BKcommunity.com! Please take a moment to add your profile photo and a short bio. For the bio, just find the field marked "Text" and rename this title Bio or About Me, and then add a paragraph. You can then move it up to the top by grabbing it with the mouse and moving it up or grabbing the sections on top and moving them down. Let me know if you have any questions navigating the site or have suggestions for new functionality or interaction. Thanks, David Marshall, VP of Editorial and Digital, Berrett-Koehler Publishers.

P.S. - If you are planning to attend the 20th Anniversary Celebration and the  Community Dialogue in San Francisco next week, I look forward to meeting you.
